Chassis, engines and tyres in the game

← About the game

While reading what follows, keep in mind that the differences between the various chassis, tyre and engine types are small — you can win in any car.

Chassis

MakeDescription
LolaThe Lola is overall the best chassis, especially for ovals. It has slightly more oversteer than the others, which helps you take corners faster on road courses.
ReynardThe Reynard beats the Lola on road courses and behaves quite well on ovals. This chassis can also be faster than the Penske on road courses, but it is harder to drive. When understeering, this chassis is easier to control than the others.
PenskeThe Penske is the best chassis for road courses, but a bit weak for ovals. It behaves the most stably on track.

Engines

MakeDescription
FordThe Ford is overall the best engine, although its reliability is lower than the others.
MercedesThe Mercedes is the most reliable engine and has the best torque, which is good for road courses, but it is weak at high revs, which is bad for ovals.
HondaThe Honda has decent torque, and at high revs it performs best of all, which helps on ovals.

Tyres

MakeDescription
FirestoneFirestone are overall the best tyres, particularly on ovals.
GoodyearGoodyear outperform Firestone in outright speed on road courses.
