Megarace Team Penske — Chernihivske livery, Indycar Racing II
Alex’s Megarace Team Penske with the «Chernihivske» livery — rendered by the 1995 Papyrus engine.

The Internet Indycar League was the first Ukrainian sim racing league — an online championship in Papyrus’ classic Indycar Racing II, run from 2003 to 2007 with drivers from Ukraine, Russia, China and Middle-earth (proof from the 2004 Wayback Machine snapshot). This site is a complete archive of those seasons: news, results, records, team histories, photos and downloads. No new races are held — but everything you need to run ICR2 today is in the Game Guide.

15-03-2007 :: Since the Speedway Cup and Road Racing Cup rounds could not be run to completion due to the low number of participants, the IIL administration declares the results based on the current championship standings. So, the Speedway Cup champion is sim_tek (ST Motorsport), and the Road Racing Cup was won by debutant Frank Bakulov (Electrolux Storm Honda) — congratulations! If anyone wishes to finish the fifth IIL championship (that is, to determine the absolute IIL champion) with the Super Final at Road America and Indianapolis, as originally planned, please write to madlopt@worldracing.info. Below is the list of drivers admitted to the Super Final based on the cup race results:

Frank Bakulov (Electrolux Storm Honda) RRC champion, SC 2nd.
sim_tek (ST Motorsport) SC champion, RRC 5th.
Glor-Finn-Dale (Elven Rescue) RRC 2nd, SC 3rd.
madlopt (Megarace Team) SC 4th, RRC 3rd.

Anyone may take part in the Super Final, but only the results of the drivers listed above will count towards the championship.
04-05-2007 :: Unfortunately, the SC round in Atlanta did not take place; it may be held at the end of the championship (only Frank and madlopt sent in results). All further rounds run as scheduled.
21-04-2007 :: RRC Grand Prix of Watkins Glen. Debutant Frank Bakulov took his third RRC victory in a row! There has never been a debut like this in our League — congratulations! Pole position went to our record-holder TILL13 — welcome back. Electrolux Storm Honda moved into first place in the team standings. Glor-Finn-Dale climbed to second place in the championship for the first time in his career. It is already clear that Frank Bakulov will make the Super Final, and he also has a real chance of winning the RRC. The championship takes a one-week break; the next round (SC Grand Prix of Atlanta) starts on April 26.
15-04-2007 :: SC Grand Prix of Michigan. The second Speedway Cup round of the IIL has been held. madlopt won qualifying, setting yet another League record. He was unable to start the race. The race was won by Michigan specialist sim_tek — he has won every Michigan race he has entered, and that already makes three of them. Congratulations!
06-04-2007 :: RRC Grand Prix of Cleveland. Electrolux Storm Honda driver Frank took yet another Road Racing Cup win! Congratulations — Frank has every chance of reaching the Super Final. Pole position in Cleveland went to sim_tek, who set a new track record — just think, he beat the record of TILL13 himself! Frank actually posted an even better qualifying time, but he was penalized 10 seconds for missing qualifying screenshots. Elven Rescue still leads the team standings.
29-03-2007 :: The first Speedway Cup round at Motegi has been held. The overall winner of the round was ex-champion of the League madlopt — congratulations! madlopt set a new track record: 247.153 mph. Our old friend sim_tek finally resumed racing — a good qualifying and 4th place in the race. Also worth noting are debutant Frank Bakulov's third places in both qualifying and the race. Unfortunately, the weekend went badly for Elven Rescue: Glor-Finn-Dale fell far behind in the race, and the first woman in the League, Glor-Finn-Vzhjk, was not classified. Still, the team has decent chances in the Road Racing Cup.
29-03-2007 :: Attention!!! A small change in the rules. In the Windows version of the game you no longer need to save the race statistics in text form. Nothing has changed for the DOS version.
28-03-2007 :: Attention!!! The e-mail address for sending results has changed to iil@openwheels.org.
28-03-2007 :: Greetings to all Indycar Racing II fans!!! In case you haven't heard, the fifth IIL championship has already begun. The site is being updated again — the League lives on. After the long break quite a lot has changed in the League: now (an idea by AP Racing) instead of a single unified championship there are two separate cups and a Super Final; see the rules for details. The first Road Racing Cup round at Laguna Seca has already been run. In short: a magnificent victory by League debutant Frank Bakulov — congratulations(!); also worth noting are Leonardo's pole position and Elven Rescue leading the team standings.
01-10-2004 :: Attention! The championship schedule has been changed. The Phoenix race is being held now, and on 05.10–11.10 the final round will take place at Brands Hatch. Since the championship has been shortened to 11 races, the results of ALL rounds will count.
08-09-2004 :: The latest IIL round in Michigan ended in triumph for Leonardo. Last championship's race result repeated itself: madlopt on pole again and Leonardo winning again — congratulations. His second superspeedway win in a row in Michigan. Glor-Finn-Dale finished 3rd and moved up to 5th place in the standings. madlopt is now only 3 points behind Riskoff; then again, only the best 11 round results count, so Riskoff can well defend his position if he takes part in the upcoming races. In the team standings Megarace and Desperados are locked in a fierce battle.
31-08-2004 :: The Fontana round did not take place, and the Brands Hatch round has been moved to the end of the schedule — but life goes on and the IIL championship lives on. The Laguna Seca race was held; the RRT team did not take part at full strength, which of course affected the championship picture. madlopt won both the race and qualifying; Leonardo of Desperados Indycar Racing Team was unable to start the race, and his team lost 2nd place in the team standings. Two podium places went to Elven Rescue drivers Al and Glor-Finn-Dale.
05-08-2004 :: Megarace Team driver Alex has ended his IIL career. The team is urgently looking for a replacement. Contact team owner madlopt on the League forum or via ICQ: 166144294.
28-07-2004 :: Another League round has been held at Motegi. madlopt took pole position in qualifying, setting a new track record. The race was won by Russian Racing Team driver GF2 — congratulations, this is his first win in the League! Although Riskoff's winning streak has been broken, his lead over the rest is still quite comfortable, and in the team standings RRT is unlikely to surrender first place to anyone now.
20-07-2004 :: The sixth round of the League, in Australia, ended in triumph for Riskoff of Russian Racing Team. Congratulations! A record fourth victory in a row. He set the track record by winning qualifying and pulled far away from the other drivers in the race. Al of Elven Rescue impressed with a good qualifying. Leonardo did not take part in the race, so AP-Racing passed him easily in the standings and now holds 3rd place.
13-07-2004 :: The fifth League round in Atlanta has been held. Congratulations to Riskoff — once again he won both qualifying and the race, took the maximum points for the round and set a new track record! One more League record: the smallest winning margin now stands at 0.3 seconds. GF2 did not take part in qualifying, and AP Racing was penalized for a missing F1 qualifying screenshot.
12-07-2004 :: Belatedly, but congratulations to Riskoff, winner of the latest League round at Long Beach, who also took pole position.
02-07-2004 :: The config for Night Atlanta has been posted; all IIL drivers must use it without exception.
24-06-2004 :: Gosha has broken the Fontana record yet again, this time by a whole mile per hour: the new record is 249.353 mph — that is over 398 km/h. Astonishing.
23-06-2004 :: Interviews with League drivers after the Lausitzring round. The page will be updated as more interviews come in.
22-06-2004 :: The third IIL round at the Lausitzring has been held. Debutant GF2 set a stunning time in qualifying: a lap at an average speed of 233.367 mph — a League record. In the race he was beaten by his team-mate Riskoff, who became the winner of the round — congratulations! Because TILL13 did not take part in the round, Riskoff passed him in the drivers' standings and Russian Racing Team climbed to the top of the team standings. AP Racing finished third, so the entire podium was occupied by RRT drivers — which is also a record result.
22-06-2004 :: Attention!!! The round schedule for the League's 4th championship has changed.
21-06-2004 :: Gosha has updated the Fontana record — it now stands at 248.305 mph.
